Formerly known as the Red Pepper, the Tandoori Raj has maintained its high standards and still does a superb Chicken Jalfrezi. Located up a side street from High Holborn the Raj is well positioned as the last stop in a mini pub crawl starting at the Beerodrome on the Kingsway, followed by the Shakespeare's Head over the road, then the Wetherspoons on High Holborn itself. The curry house is then but a short stagger across the road - perfect.<P> As well as Chicken Jalfrezi they also serve Cobra (big bottles) and after curry mints (big extra star).
