Reviews Unusual place on three floors decorated with umbrellas amongst other things. Located just off Regent Street very close to Oxford Circus tube.
For some reason they didn't want to sit us at the table by the window on the ground floor and instead placed us upstairs at the back - presumably not to put off any passing trade.
Starters consisted entirely (on our table) of Mini-masala dosas with very spicy coconut chutney - certainly a rival for the monsters that are served in the Malabar Junction.
Chicken Biryiani main course had big lumps of chicken in it, not quite a rival for the Clay Oven though. Varied selection of side dishes which were very good. Even the paratha's were more like naan breads so it is possible that we will be allowed to go there again.
Overall the food was very good, reasonably priced, interesting decor, close to Oxford Circus, serves dosas AND decent bread - I predict we will return.
Added by Tony Love, Wednesday 13 February 2002 18:29
